Ganymede seems to have many ocean layers, stacked up with layers of ice in between them. The highest standard of ice could be the crust, which might be about one hundred fifty kilometers (about 90 miles) thick. The bottom ocean stage could be 800 kilometers (about 500 miles) down below that, just above the main layer from the moon’s rocky inside.
